Arab American Family Services (AAFS) offers an excess of services to a diverse population, regardless of ethnicity.  It is AAFS’ mission as a social service agency to enhance the lives of the Arab-American community through educational programs and services.  To accomplish this task, each department is prepared to address the community’s specific demands and issues.

Each department and program at AAFS, work together in a diverse way to achieve our mission.  We are proud to serve our community on all levels—from assisting individuals in Public Benefits and Domestic Violence situations; to helping the Elderly and building a better future by helping our youth through our Youth and Education program.

AAFS confronts these issues and promotes awareness.  We provide education and prevention for issues which are forbidden to address due to religious and cultural behavior.  AAFS is in a continuous struggle to advocate and address issues such as domestic violence, child abuse, DCFS, and youth behavioral issues as well as many others. The goal of AAFS is to reduce the cultural, language, and religious barriers that limit Arab-Americans from accessing existing services and opportunities for personal growth.  In doing so AAFS established programs and services geared towards empowering the Arab- American community.

AAFS strength rests with the strength of our community - both individually and collectively.  We are only able to aid those in need, advocate for fair treatment, and celebrate our cultures with the kindness of our supporters.
